Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: Part 1

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to share my adventures with you! Mommy, Daddy, and I headed down to the big city where we stopped for doughnuts and then rode our bikes onto a really big boat. After we got on a whole bunch of cars drove on it so they could go across the water. After driving on the water we rode our bikes about 13 miles to a little waterfront city where Mommy and Daddy went on their honeymoon. It was fun looking at shops, buying lefse, and eating at the Italian restaurant. We biked back but missed the ferry by two minutes. It was just pulling away when we got down to the dock. Oh well, we went and rode little bikes and got ice cream while we waited for our next ferry. I guess it wasn't such a bad thing.

I guess the title of the blog really shouldn't be planes, trains, and automobiles, but boats, trains, and bicycles. Stay tuned for more adventures of Isaac. Until next time . . .

More Firsts

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd show you a few pictures of some more of my "firsts". I built my first block tower all by myself and then had fun knocking it over. I got my first horseback ride from Mommy, but the same day she was able to capture me riding on Daddy's back. I know how to climb up now and I hold on tight because my Daddy horse tosses me all over the place! I know the spaghetti isn't really my first time eating spaghetti but I thought I'd include it because I don't know if I have ever been any more orange. That was a good lunch! And, finally, a first that shows one of my new skills . . . climbing!! I now can climb furniture, chairs, stepladders, stairs, garden blocks, etc., etc., etc. and usually I am supervised by Mommy or Daddy but sometimes I sneak in a climb when they aren't looking.

Snow and Tulips?

Hi everyone,

I'll let these pictures speak for themselves. Who ever thought it would snow during tulip time toward the end of April?

Do You Have Any Bigger Bags of Popcorn?

Hi everyone,

We had the downtown street fair this weekend to celebrate the end of the tulips. It's only about a half of a mile from our house so we went down all three days. We ate, snacked, looked, and listened to bands perform. We had our share of weather, too. It was sunny, windy, raining, hailing, and snowing! I don't know if there has ever been snow at the street fair. You can see from my picture that we came home with a few purchases. I couldn't wait for Daddy to open up the bag of popcorn so we could eat some. The bag was almost as tall as I am!

Whiffle Ball, Anyone?

Hi everyone,

It's a good thing that I have to type my message to post or else we'd be in trouble because my words are not very understable when I have a whiffle golf ball in my mouth. Daddy brought these home for me and soon after discovering them I popped one in my mouth and realized it fit perfect. Now I like to grab all three, pop one in my mouth, and walk around with the other two in each hand that way if one falls out I have a few spares. The only problem is that when I take them out of my mouth they are covered in drool. I guess I must drool a lot because my Sunday School nursery worker has told Mommy and Daddy that I could hydropower California's electricity with the amount of drool that comes out of my mouth. I can't help it if I get intent on something that I'm doing and forget to swallow or close my mouth.

Breakfast at the Table

Hi everyone,

I am so excited because Mommy has let me eat breakfast at my table a couple of times! I still eat dinner and lunch in my high chair but I feel like I'm starting to branch out and eat at the table like a big person. When I was finished eating I even surprised Mommy by getting down on my own and walking my plate to her in the kitchen. I was so proud to carry my own dishes in!

Smile for the Camera

Hi everyone,

I have finally discovered the camera. I used to always wonder why Mommy and Daddy pointed it at me and then there was a bright light, but now I know it takes my picture. Mommy took one of me and then showed it to me on the little screen. And as you can see from my photo, I now know to smile when they are taking a picture of me.

I also have a little table and chairs that are just for me. Of course, as you can see from the picture I prefer to sit on my toy basket because it is just the right height. The chairs are better for standing on! In fact, the first thing I did when Daddy brought up my table and chairs was to stand on it. I am kind of tired of hearing, "Sit on your bottom" when I try to climb on my chair. They should know it is more fun to use them that way. Either that or tipping it over on its side and crawling all around it. I guess Mommy and Daddy haven't read yet that there is no wrong way to play with a toy.
