Goin' to the State Fair

Hi everyone,
As you can see by my photo documentation the day started out rainy. Not only was it raining but by the time we actually got to the fair it was coming down in buckets! It's a good thing Mommy and Daddy have lived in this rainy state for so long because they came prepared. We had raincoats, umbrellas, changes of shoes and socks. I tell you, you never can tell what you're going to need when you're spending all day at the fair.
I got to see some of the farm animals that are in the books I read. They really do feel like the fur in the touch and feel book. Mommy and Daddy bought me my first John Deere tractor that plays Old MacDonald (my favorite song) and pulls animals along behind it. I didn't get to go on any rides, though. I guess you have to be at least 2 years old, so I won't even be able to next year. We had corndogs, BBQ, scones, elephant ears, hamburgers and fries . . . what am I saying, I didn't get to eat any of that. Mommy and Daddy ate it right in front of me while I had to eat healthy fruits, vegetables, chicken, and grains. I betcha my tummy feels better than theirs does!
Until next time . . .

On the Move

Hi everyone,

I am now officially crawling! It is so freeing to be able to go where I want when I want. You don't know how confining it felt to have to wait until Mom or Dad picked me up or brought me a toy or a book. The only drawback is that now I can't seem to sit still. Even in my crib at naptimes I find the need to crawl from one end of my crib to other just because I can. Pssst . . . don't tell Mommy, but I'm even trying to stand up in my crib by using my crib railings for support. I can't seem to reach the top bar though so I think they must have snuck in and lowered my mattress when I wasn't looking.

I also was declared to be in good health at my 9 month checkup. Dad was gunnin' for me being 21 lbs. but Mom knew I wouldn't be anywhere near that. She calls me her little string bean, which I love on most days. I ended up being 18 lbs. 5 oz. and 28 1/2 inches long. Well, I've got places to get to, so . . .

Until next time . . .

Back to School

I just wanted to wish all of my friends and family and Mommy's teacher friends a very happy start to the school year! I am all ready for school, as you can see from my pictures, but I guess I have to wait a few more years.
Until next time . . .
