Speed Skater

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I went roller skating for the very first time and it was really fun! Well, let me rephrase that, it was really fun most of the time. It wasn't so fun when I fell down or when Mommy fell down on top of me. I think she came out worse though with a little gash and bruise on her shin from my skate. We went around the rink lots of times and they turned the lights out and had a disco ball and we even did the hokey pokey! I managed to keep my skates on and stay on my feet for right around an hour. Then I came home and took a two and a half hour nap. I really liked it though so I think I might try it again. You never know, in a few years I may win the national speed skating competition like a boy who lives in my area.

Until next time . . .

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: Part 2

Hi everyone,

On Mother's Day Mommy, Daddy, and I took our very first train ride! We rode it down to the big city and then walked over to the baseball field to watch my very first Major League baseball game. You can tell it was a cold, drizzly day because I'm all bundled up in my coat, hat, and blanket. I even had an umbrella over my stroller while we walked around before the game. It was fun. There was a little boy who was the same age as me sitting behind me and we both fell asleep at the same time and woke up at the same time. It was kind of funny, especially because Mommy and Daddy didn't think I was going to take a nap that day. After the game we hopped on the bus and went uptown to one of our favorite doughnut places. The train ride back home was packed with people but I still did a great job traveling. I had fun walking from car to car, looking out the window, and reading books. You should try it sometime!

Until next time . . .

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: Part 1

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to share my adventures with you! Mommy, Daddy, and I headed down to the big city where we stopped for doughnuts and then rode our bikes onto a really big boat. After we got on a whole bunch of cars drove on it so they could go across the water. After driving on the water we rode our bikes about 13 miles to a little waterfront city where Mommy and Daddy went on their honeymoon. It was fun looking at shops, buying lefse, and eating at the Italian restaurant. We biked back but missed the ferry by two minutes. It was just pulling away when we got down to the dock. Oh well, we went and rode little bikes and got ice cream while we waited for our next ferry. I guess it wasn't such a bad thing.

I guess the title of the blog really shouldn't be planes, trains, and automobiles, but boats, trains, and bicycles. Stay tuned for more adventures of Isaac. Until next time . . .

More Firsts

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd show you a few pictures of some more of my "firsts". I built my first block tower all by myself and then had fun knocking it over. I got my first horseback ride from Mommy, but the same day she was able to capture me riding on Daddy's back. I know how to climb up now and I hold on tight because my Daddy horse tosses me all over the place! I know the spaghetti isn't really my first time eating spaghetti but I thought I'd include it because I don't know if I have ever been any more orange. That was a good lunch! And, finally, a first that shows one of my new skills . . . climbing!! I now can climb furniture, chairs, stepladders, stairs, garden blocks, etc., etc., etc. and usually I am supervised by Mommy or Daddy but sometimes I sneak in a climb when they aren't looking.

Until next time . . .
